Does the calculator distinguish between a standalone building and a leased floor fit-out?

The calculator is built primarily for ground-up standalone commercial construction rather than a fit-out within an existing leased shell, since the cost logic for the two is quite different. A pure interior fit-out project depends much more heavily on partition design, services routing within an existing structure and finish specification than on structural or foundation cost. If you are planning a fit-out rather than new construction, a dedicated fit-out estimate from your interior contractor will be more useful than this calculator's output.
